Compendium of Curiosities Week 7

This is the first time I've had time to join in with Linda's fab challenge blog.

This week we are up to page 55 of Sir Tim's Compendium of Curiosities. Again, I've used my beautiful mermaid stamp to make a sea inspired hanging.

Only a quick post because my dog Wilma is sat next to me on the sofa and she keeps trumping - eeeewww!!

Yes, Im actually blogging something that I made!!! This is for July's art raffle for All Things Crafty (see link on side bar). This months theme is 'Seaside'. I've made a canvas using a fabulous mermaid stamp. I painted the canvas using adirondack dabbers, stamped the image on velum and glued it onto the canvas.

To hide the seams I've glued all manner of beach finds around the velum, shells, sea glass and a few pearl beads.

First time outside and on the pond. Admittedly only a small garden pond, but it's pretty big when your only just over a week old!!
