Mothers Day!

Two posts in one day?!! Well it has been freezing here and (although I did stand in a field for 2 hours this afternoon) it's been a day for staying inside!!

So I thought I'd complete a couple of challenges. The sketch is from Mo Manning's blog. I just love her digital stamps. The image I used is 'patience'.

I chose a Mothers Day card as it's only 2 weeks away and I'm working next weekend (ya boo sucks!) Being a mothers day card also means it fits in with this weeks Allsorts challenge!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening and thanks for stopping by!

:o)

Mojo Monday

This is my entry for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. You can see this weeks challenge was to make a square or round card, well, I dont have any round cards so square it is!!
Also, if your in the UK Im pretty sure you wont have failed to notice that his Royal Highness himself, Mr Tim Holtz was on QVC earlier this week!!

So much inspired by his royal grungeyness I made this card. The papers are scraps but the one with the trees on is from Crafty Individuals. The stamps are Basic Grey (green background), Crafty Individuals (scripts stamps) and Paperartsy. I also routed out my perfect pearls - not sure if you can see it- but it is on the green papers just to give a bit of ooomphh
Have a fab Sunday! :o)

Lots to Do challenge!

This weeks theme over at Lots to Do is canvas!! This was a small box canvas that I used a mask of a bird of paradise and sprayed glilmmer mist over. I inked the blanked canvas with a brown distress ink first to give it a sorta grungy look. I then embossed gold powder round the edges. What you cant see is taht around the sides of the canvas i stamped some floral images.

The flowers are velum and the ivy I've had for ages! I brought a 2 metre length of it about 4 years ago withthe idea of putting it in my kitchen - till I realised it would just end up a dust collector LOL

Have a fab Saturday!

Winter Wonderland!

This weeks WW (thats Winter Wonderland, not Weight Watchers LOL) challenge is a sketch challenge. The image is a fabulous Mo Manning digital image and the papers are Stampin' Up! A larger card than my normal efforts but hey, I like to live dangerously!!!

And, did you know that there are only 10 months left to christmas day exactly today! I havent worked it out, it was on the radio this morning - scarry!!!

Have a fabulous Thursday evening

So......

Stacey killed Archie!!! Did you guess correctly? My money was on either Peggy or Ryan. And poor Bradley!!!!

Well I didnt watch the episode 'live' cos I was rockin' out at the Nottingham Arena with the fabulous 30 Seconds to Mars.

Anyhow, on to todays make. I made this for my friend Alison. It's made using an old (obviously LOL!) toilet roll. I did take a pic of the tag too before I sent it off but cant find it!!! The papers are (I think) Anna Griffin papers that I saved for best so I've had them about 4 years!! I simply covered the squashed toilet roll with it.

The butterfly is quite special too. It's the last butterfly that that particular punch ever cut 'cos then it simply broke!!! Aaarrrgghh!! I purchased it from Create and Craft about 5 years ago so I suppose its had a good innings!

Anyhow, have a fabulous Saturday

Mojo Monday

This is this weeks layout for Mojo Monday.
As you can see, I have used NO, NONE, NADA stamped images - aarrghh!!!! I tell you, that was hard. I decided to use my Joanna Sheen Heavenly cards cd (which I have used a grand total of........once LOL) The backing paper is (top) Stampin up Bella Bleu, the bottom is HOTP Vintage Sarapapers.
As you can see, vellum makes an apperance too. Mainly
'cause it has musical notes on it, and the couple are
dancing so I thought it was a good tie in!!
Enjoy whats left of your Wednesday!

Anyone for Anya?

This weeks theme over at Anyone for Anya? is Flower Power. I used an image from the Hope and Grace set as she reminds me of a right little hippie - hippie, flower power - geddit?! The backing paper is pink flamingo from Stampin Up. I made the flowers using circle punches - that came to me about midnight last night when I was in bed. Does that ever happen to you? Then I spend half the night thinking about it to make sure I dont forget it! LOL
And can you see the velum? How long is it since I used any of that!!! yup, a drawer full and nowhere to go, so I thought I'd give some a chance - plus it has butterflies on so I thought it would go with the floral theme.
Anyhoo, enjoy the rest of your Tuesday :o)
