When is a canvas not a canvas?

Well technically it is still a canvas, i just wanted a more catchier title to my post than simply 'canvas' LOL This is for a swap on the Lots To Do forum. Instead of using the front of the canvas I simply turned it over and used the back. First I gesso'ed all the wood part then used the stamped tissue paper technique to create a background in the space behind the flower. The flower is a flora doodle (yes I am guilty of saving these for best but when actually is best?) I painted the 'frame' part with metallic brown acrylic paint, stamped onto the paint with a script stamp then stamped and watercoloured some flowers, covered them with glossy accents and punched out a butterfly motif!!

I actually really like it! I think Im tempted to make one for mothers day but know my mother will have no-where to put one!

Thanks for stopping by
