a right pair of porkers!!!

Remember the piglets that arrived in June? Well they are now a pair of 14 stone pigs!!! Today is

there last day as 7.30am tomorrow they are off to our

local slaughter house.

Although I will be a bit sad to see them go, they are smelly and have a nasty bite on them! I have to say though that my husband has pampered them a bit and he is quite upset about tomorrow!

As you can see from the pictures though, there's nothing happier than a pig in muck!!

Trick or Treat!!

Sam on Lots to Do forum is hosting a halloween swap. We had to make something more than just a tag or ATC.

My tin started off life as a coffee tin I received in a gift set. Well, the coffee has long since gone and the tin has been in my 'to be altered' draw for about 2 years lol
I think the papers are Dovecraft (I've had them a while!) and matching embelishments. Shame we dont celebrate halloween a bit more over here (although I watched a film called Trick 'r Treat last night and if you didnt like/celebrate halloween something bad happened to you - spooky!)
Thanks for looking :o)

Friendship board book

Quick post this morning as Im off to work in a min and out tonight. Thought I'd better post as I've just noticed I havent blogged for a week!! This book is for a swap on Crafting Corner. The theme is Friendship and the style is vintage.

One of the stipulations was that we had to use a board book (no bind it alls!!) My book was 25p from a charity shop. It's actually a shoe shaped photo album (why would you want a photo album in the shape of a shoe, or maybe it's for shoe pictures?!) Oh well, of to work. Have a fun day everyone :o)

Naughty 40!!

This card is for my friend who is gonna be 40!!! Now he's a bit of a what I call 'stuff shirt', (he's an accountant, need I say more!) and im sure that a few eyebrows will be raised when this card is opened (apart from his wife who will probably pee herself LOL).

The inspiration for this card came from the hugely talented Cindy Haffner (you can see her card here). The stamps are called Party Girl (and my goodness, isnt she just lol)

Winter Wonderland!

No postings for a while! Thats cos I've been doing secret stuff!! Well not really, just knocking the plaster off my dinning room walls so no time for crafting lol

This card is for the Winter Wonderland challenge which this week is 'hot chocolate'. Well, I didnt think anyone would appreciate a christmas card with Errol Brown on, so here is my interpretation of hot chocolate
The image is from Whiff of Joy, the papers of HOTP vintage Sarapapers. The snowflake I cut out using my Big Shot and glittered. The brown button isnt actually a button but a piece of card that I punched holes in to look like a button IYKNIM!

Midnight Madness sketch 18

This card is for the midnight madness challenge. I used one of Mo's digital stamps, a cute witch.
I thought the black fibres looked a bit like spider web which is why I used the witch image to make a halloween birthday card!
I even decorated the inside too!!!
This card is for my friends little girl who's birthday is near halloween. She's 4 so I have no idea if this is suitable for a 4 year but, tough cos she's having it! lol

1 card, a multitude of challenges!

This card covers quite a few challenges.
The sketch came from Mojo Monday (I flipped it on its side)
This weeks Anyone for Anya challenge was to use brads and bows.
This weeks challenge on The Greeting Farm was to decorate the inside of your card.
Now, those that have recieved
cards from me will know
that that is something that
I never do so
I found this bit quite difficult LOL
The papers are from HOTP Sarapapers in Vintage

Christmas Stampin' all year long!!!

This card is for CSAYL challenge which this week is paper pieceing and OMG this card soon became one that I wish I never started!!! Those of you who recognise the image as an Elusive Images stamp will know that it is slightly larger than mine. Thats because, after deciding to paper piece the background behind the snowman and it totally getting on my nerves after about 10 minutes of trying to cut out all the fiddly bits, I 'shortened' the image before I binned it in anger lol
Anyhow, here is my finished card. I used some glitter and applique for the snow and coloured my snowman using a selction of grey copics. The charm was robbed of an old christmas card and the greeting was from a crafty pound stall at the NEC

What a bargain!!!

I found this languishing in my local British Heart Foundation shop for the bargain price of £3.80. £3.80!!!! I had to cart it all round town though and believe it, it was bloomin' heavy LOL

The sad thing was though, obviously someone has already altered it and it's still been cast out to the charity shop. Oh well, there loss is my gain!

I think it started off life as just plain wood drawers, probably from somewhere like Ikea. As you can see it's been painted (pink and green, not really my thing!), infact, someone even went to the trouble of screwing little door knobs onto all the drawers!

I covered it with some 12 x 12 papers from Stampin' Up and added a paper flower.

To finish off the edges where the paper didnt cover I used some ribbon to tidy it up.

Just need to find some stuff to fill it with now, thats the difficult part (obviously! LOL)

Anyone for Anya?

This card is for a new challenge blog, Anyone for Anya? Of course, you have to use an Anya stamp (otherwise the name of the blog would be pointless LOL). I used birthday Ian and cut off his head (poor Ian!) I then added Football Anya's head to his body. (Both are digital images from The Greeting Farm)

Im not sure where the backing papers are from. I found them in my craft space

whilst I was (sort of) tidying up this morning lol

:o)

Mojo Monday

This festive offering is based on the Mojo Monday sketch. The background paper is from Dovecraft. The image is a digital one, Siku and Shiya from Mo's, coloured in using copics.

Midnight Madness!!

This card uses sketch 17 from Midnight Madness. I think its a fab sketch! I can see this being one I use for a few cards lol. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. She is called End of the Summer and, judging by the weather forcast here in the UK, I'd say it definately is!!

The papers are from Stampin' Up. I love these colours, they so remind me of Autumn which is one of my favorite seasons.

Sugar Bowl/secret crafter Challenge

This layout is from the Sugar Bowl where the challenge is also to include buttons in your work! The image is from one of Leanne Ellis' stamps. I wasnt happy with the white background so I paper pieced a page from a book (Im still on Northanger Abbey lol). The round sentiments are from Stampin' Up, as is the card and papers (which is why it all matches with minimum effort from me! lol) This weeks challenge on the Secret Crafter is flights of fancy, and Leanne's fairy fits that
Thanks for taking the time to look :o)
