Sassy relay day 2

This card is for the 2nd day of the Sassy Studio's 1st Anniversary relay. It's uses the fab digi image of Princess Penelope. I thought she'd go well with some of my DCWV Once Upon a Time paper.

I think this card might find it's way to my friends for their wedding anniversary next month!

Have a great Sunday evening! :o)

Infact, they will be giving away a free digi over the next 4 days!!! You just have to create someting before the deadline using your free image.

So hop on over!!

:o)

Burtonesque challenge

This weeks challenge over at the Burtonesque Dolls is to be inspired by the film The Corpse Bride. (hence the gravestone LOL) The image is a digi stamp from Tiddly Inks, as is the sentiment.

The background paper is from DCWV Once Upon a Time pad. I love the mix of colours on it!

Anyhow, hope you have a fab bank holiday weekend. My mum is here which means no crafting for me! :o)

Much cooler Tuesday!

Looks like the end of our mini heatwave! At least it will be cooler at work!!!

This card is for 2 challenges (look at me combining again!!) The sketch is from Mojo Monday. The theme is from the Crazy Challenge which this week is Girl Thing. What can be more girlie than shopping!!!

The image is a freebie from Amber Ink.

Anyhow, no rest for the wicked. Off into work for a couple of hours. I fell down the stairs on Friday and tore my ligaments in my ankle so am now on crutches. On the upside, I am getting lots of sympathy from work LOL (more than Im getting at home anyhow LOL)

Have a fab Tuesday!

Macabre Monday!

Over at Macabre Monday the challenge this week is to create a beautiful, beastly butterfly piece.I thought black and red would be quite a gothic combination! The butterfly is a Marianne Design die. I added a bit of ribbon and a bead and made it into a wall hanging. You probably cant tell but I dabbed some Rock Candy distress stickles on the outside of the wings.

Quick and easy, but hey, it is nearly time for Eastenders LOL

Festive fun!!

This card is for 2 Christmas challenges. Over at Winter Wonderland this week it's a sketch challenge. At Christmas Stampin' all Year Long the theme is paper piecing. So, I thought I would kill 2 birds with 1 stone and combine the two!

Now for the recipe. The backing papers are from Dovecraft. The strip on the left isn't ribbon. I put a piece of double sided tape onto the card then sprinkled glitter onto it. The card pieces are from my scrap box and the Father Christmas image is from Whiff of Joy.

Hope you had a fab Monday! Gosh it's been hot here but I believe the weather is set to break tomorrow. Back to the usual rain I guess LOL
:o)

Burtonesque Dolls challenge

Over at the Burtonesque Dolls the challenge this week is to use skulls and black flowers.

The girl is a sugar nellie stamp. Dont you just love her little skull on the bottom of her dress!! The flower are from Stampin' Up kit Vintage Vogue, which you can order from Jo. The skulls that make up the centre of the flowers are from Once Upon a Stamp, but I'm not sure if they are still available.

As for the backing papers? No idea lol

Enjoy what's left of your Sunday! Thanks for looking :o)

Oh my goodness!!

it's been a hot one today! Not really that sunny but very humid, especially in a hot power station!!

What better way to cool down than a Christmas card LOL

This card follows the recipe over at CSAYL which was to use certain colours.

The sketch is from Mojo Monday.

All the elements are from my scrap box. The lovely angel image is a digi stamp.

Have a fab Friday tomorrow. Hooray the weekend is nearly here! :o)

Turning Japanese!

Well, Chinese really lol! This month over at All Things Crafty the monthly raffle theme is Oriental as chosen by last months winner Kathleen.

I used a good old beer mat as a backing for my wall hanging. I've no idea where the backing papers are from (sorry!) The cherry blossom is a digi stamp. The beads at the bottom are from a broken bracelet. The images were free stamps from Craft Stamper Magazine that I put onto shrink plastic.

The pocket is from a Chinese New Year decoration that I dissected. It actually has a Yen coin in there from me too!! LOL

Have a fabulous Wednesday. I'm on a 14 hour day at work today - oh joy!!! Hope yours is better! :o)

Art Raffle

May's theme over at 3d Jeans art raffle is flowers. I used a coaster as a backing for mine and just glued a ton of punched out bird feather wings onto it to look like petals!!

The pink flower is fabric and the purple flower is a Stampin' Up stamp. The centre of the flower is a know of ribbon. My friend Jo came up with that idea as a fab way to use all those bit's of ribbon that you cut off but don't throw away (you know we all do it LOL) You just knot the ribbon and pull it threw a hole - eh voila!!! She also has some blog candy on offer so check out my side bar for details!

I added a magnet to the back and turned it into a fridge magnet lol

Anyhow, working again today. No rest for the wicked LOL
Have a great Sunday :o)

Canvas-tastic!

This canvas is for a swap over on Crafting Corner and hosted by Ju.

I painted 3/4 of the canvas with acrylic paint 'cos i wanted some texture. The silver discs are washers from my hubby's tool box. Everything else was made up of stuff from my bits box.

The flower I made using the new bird punch from Stampin' Up. The petals are actually the birds wing.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Burtonesque Dolls challenge

This weeks challenge over at the Burtonesque Dolls is to make a project that features a chick that would fit into a Burton film! My image is from the Greeting Farm and is a digi called twisted tea. I kept her monochrome in keeping with many of Burton's films. I also used shrink plastic and made a charm using Tim Holtz's skull and crossbones stamp.

Have a great Thursday evening everyone :o)

Macabre Monday!

So whilst browsing through all the fabulous blogs on the internet I came upon another challenge from the darkside. This one is called Macabre Monday. This weeks challenge is to incorporate the theme of Voodoo Witchery into your make.

I decided to make a keyring. I have some fabulous stamps that I've had for ages but hardly ever use! I guess not everyone is into halloweeny type images all year round lol. I used shrink plastic, beads and charms.

Anyhow, hope you've all had a fabulous week!! Only 2 working days left - yay! :o)

3d anyone?

This is for a swap hosted by Ju over on the All Things Crafty forum. The theme is a 3d butterfly so I hope this qualifies!!! As a base I used a beer mat covered with paper. Flower is a Stampin' Up stamp that I coloured with copics and H2O's then added some diamond glaze. The butterfly I cut from a sheet of thin metal (so that it would have a bit more stability) and covered it with diamond glaze and sprinkled it with beads.

Thanks for looking :o)

Winter Wonderland

This weeks Winter Wonderland challenge is cute creatures. To be honest, I dont have many cute festive images. The reindeer is a digi stamp which I think was a freebie but I cant remember where from!!

I thought I'd make a pyramid card as I was looking through my craft drawers and found a load of templates I brought about 6 years ago from Create and Craft! The tree image is actually a Dawn Bibby stamp!!

Anyhow, enjoy the rest of your Monday evening! :o)

Sweet Pea Challenge

This week over at the Sweet Pea challenge blog the challenge is to follow this sketch.

You must use Sweet Pea stamps so out came the gorgeous Dance of the Butterfly.

I used a silk card so I could brayer the background. I've never really been a lover of glossy card before, but that could all change LOL

The black card is stamped with a polka dot stamp and embossed.

Have a fab Thursday :o)

Whilst blog hopping....

I came upon a new challenge site, The Burtonesque Dolls, created by and for people who love all things Tim Burton.

This week they've set their first challenge, to use stripes! (a Burton favorite!)

For my card I thought I would give an aperture card a chance for once. The are not usually cards that i use, so of course I have loads all over the place! What better to fit into the aperture than this little gorjuss gal!! I've had her a while and bet I've only inked her up about 1/2 dozen times, if that!! The twigs in the background are from a tree stamp by Elusive Images.

The stripy paper is, I think, Cosmo Cricket. Again, I've had it for ages LOL

Anyhow, have a great Wednesday! :o)

More festive fun!!

This weeks challenge over at Winter Wonderland is to make not a card but a gift card/voucher holder. I made mine by trimming the front of a normal card, making a hole (as you can see) and fastening it with ribbon.

The papers are from you know where!! The deer which I paper pieced came from Ebay. The christmas sentiment is actually part of a crafty individuals stamp.

Anyhow gotta dash-er (geddit!!) Off to work! Have a great day :o)

Club Anya Monday Mania

Me again!! So Soon! Well I didnt just knock this card up since I last posted (about 2 mins ago!!) I just wanted to mention that over on the Club Anya blog this weeks Monday Mania challenge has been set by ME!!! I've never set a challenge before but was asked by the awesome Amy if I would so here's what I came up with.

I'm challenging you to be inspired by that old favourite 'Neapolitan'. We've all been there. Sometimes you fancy vanilla, but then what about strawberry? And as for chocolate!!!! What can be better than combining all 3!! Genius. So this week's Monday Mania challenge is to use the colours chocolate, vanilla and strawberry in your creations.

So why not get out your Greeting Farm stamps and join in! You have until Saturday 8th May to upload your card AND you might win a stamp of your choice from TGF.

Happy Crafting

:o)

Bank Holiday blues!

The weather that is!!!! After a few weeks of glorious sunshine it's back to needing big coats and brollys!! Oh well, best stay in and get some crafting done LOL. This card is for the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge which this week is to make an easel card.

The stamp is Lizzie from Whiff of Joy. I think she's fab! As usual all the card/paper is from Stampin' Up!

Have a fab day if your off where you are. See you later as it there is a huge black cloud heading this way so might get a bit of crafting done today LOL :o)

Altered wood

This is for a swap hosted by Ju over at Crafting Corner. She hosts a variety swap each month which is really good for pushing your crafting boundaries!!!

Aprils swap (yes I am behind LOL!) was to use wood. This started off life as an off cut from my kitchen (which I've had for 2 years, not that my hubby is a hoarder or anything LOL)

I painted it using Heidi Swap acrylic paint in cream. The image is (I think) an Art Journey one. I know she is from a christmas plate. The velum flowers are from a QVC kit that I've had for ages sat in a drawer.
I thought the sides looked a bit left out so I used some felt ribbon and decorated them with gems.

All in all not a bad little bit of recyling!!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday
xx

Mojo Monday

This card is for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I cant remember where the papers are from, I've had them for ages! LOL

I made this card for the Rockin Rebel 2 contest over at Club Anya. The idea is to make a card based on your favorite musical icon and/or band. I used TGF Edward to make a Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars. I decided to embrace Jared's mohican phase (not his best look!). I thought the papers look a bit like a list of tour dates

The film reel is stamped on acetate. I totally got this idea from the fabulous Sheena Douglas on Create and Craft!

Enjoy the bank holiday! :o)
