Lots to Do Challenge

The theme over at the Lots to Do Challenge this week is distress - the Tim Holtz variety (not the life threatening OMG no variety!)
I actually made this a couple of weeks ago as I purchased Sir Tim's new book and felt inspired! It started off life a beer matt. I brought my Adirondack dabbers out of retirement and used TH's resist technique from his book
The butterfly I cut from a template and stamped the backside whilst I covered the top with pages from a book (you know, the Jane Austen one!) I then stamped over the top and painted it with rock candy crackle glaze. The flower I made from grunge paper covered with book pages and cut out (this is all from Tim's book by the way) and then stuck an old button in the centre.
The embelishment on the bottom is actually an old earring that I covered with sepia accents!
I actually made this for someone so if she looks I hope she wont be disappointed when she receives it!!
Have a fabulous rest of the day :o)
